About BMG

Barnes Management Group (BMG) is a consulting firm whose emphasis is on collaborating and building sustainable relationships with client organizations and communities to facilitate and support creative and innovative solutions. For a more full description of all of BMG services, visit barnesmanagementgroup.com.

This website highlights BMG’s Indigenous Service offerings.

We support the growth and development of Indigenous communities on their own terms and through the lens of their own unique circumstance, knowledge and worldviews. Our approach comes with an understanding of the historical and social contexts resulting from colonization and on-going systemic racism impacting individuals families and communities.

We believe that the partnership-driven approach is the best way to achieve and promote family and community well-being. Fundamental to Indigenous child, youth, and family well-being is the balance and inter-relationships of the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of each person.

The partnerships we have maintained with organizations and government agencies across the country position BMG to be able to share resources and knowledge based on current research and promising/wise practice approaches.

Our team includes consultants and allied professionals who bring extensive experience working with local, provincial, federal, and territorial levels of government in addition to First Nation, Inuit, & Metis organizations, communities, and political entities. We can provide government relations advice to effectively advance programs as well as act as a key resource. Our expertise includes service delivery as well as economic development, infrastructure, governance, financial management, information technology, and human resources.
