As wildfires continue to impact communities across Northern Ontario and other parts of Canada, our hearts are with everyone whose lives have been affected—especially the Indigenous communities in and around Thunder Bay and across the North, where many families have been forced to leave their homes and traditional lands.

At Barnes Management Group (BMG) and BMG Indigenous Services, we stand alongside these communities during this difficult time. We recognize the strength, resilience, and deep connection that Indigenous Peoples have with the land, and we hope for the safety of every family, Elder, child, and frontline responder.

This is a time for compassion, unity, and action. Whether through supporting relief efforts, checking in on one another, or simply extending kindness, each of us has a role to play. Together, we can help our neighbours and communities recover and rebuild.

We are deeply grateful to the firefighters, emergency responders, volunteers, Indigenous leadership, and everyone working around the clock to keep people safe.

Our thoughts are with all those affected, and we remain hopeful for safer days ahead.
